Ravenna Tate Visits with her NEW SERIES!

Hello Ravenna!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly with me today!  It’s such a pleasure to chat with you.  So tell me…

Q) How did you dream up the dynamics of your characters?

I wanted to write two polar opposites. Rai is a woman who came from nothing but built her own business, and then lost it when she refused to become partners with a Mob boss. Tannin is a man who came from everything but gave it up to be part of the MC culture he loves.

Q) Is this book part of a series?  If so, can you tell us about it?

Yes! This is book one of my Demons on Wheels MC series. There are six books in this series, and it follows the six officers of the MC as they each find their HEA.

Q) Can you give a fun or interesting fact about your book?

Creek Ridge, Ohio is a fictional city, but the setting is real-life rural Lorain County in Northeast Ohio, where I lived.

Q) What gave you the inspiration for your book?

I read multiple MC books and decided to give writing one a try.

Q) Do you plan all your characters out before you start a story or do they develop as you write?

I plan them all out before I write. You can’t know how a character will react until you understand who they are, and what happened to them before they were dropped into the story.

Q) How much real life do you put into or influences your books?

From time to time I use snippets from my real life, but most of what I write is completely made up.

Q) What are your upcoming projects?

The rest of this series, plus a spin-off MC series.

BLURB

When Raiyana Parente learns a Mob boss wants her dead for refusing to become his business partner, she runs. No clear plan in sight, she ends up in the parking lot of Scotty’s Place, a posh strip club in Creek Ridge, Ohio, believing the tall, muscled biker in jeans and dirty boots is the man sent to kill her. She couldn’t be more wrong.

Sterling Tanner, known to his Demons on Wheels MC Brothers as Tannin, is hit by the thunderbolt the moment he looks into Rai’s dark eyes. But the trouble she brings with her isn’t something the MC needs. Still, what’s a man to do when the woman he has to have, no matter what, shows up?

As their rough and dirty sexual relationship burns up the sheets, Tannin must find a way to keep Rai safe. But can he win her heart as well?

EXCERPT

“Oh fuck me sideways. I love big tits.”

A loud of cry pleasure accompanied him fastening his mouth first on one nipple, then the other. He squeezed them together and tortured her with his teeth and tongue, passing both across her nipples. “You taste so fucking good.”

No one had ever played with her breasts this way, so rough yet tender at the same time. He squeezed the mounds in strong hands, and each time he licked or gently bit her nipples, her clit throbbed. Rai grasped his hair, pushing his face closer to them.

“I want to fuck these. I want to come on them.”

“Yes. Yes, fuck my tits.” Fuck all of me!

He pushed her backward until her knees touched the edge of the bed. With a wicked grin that sent more shivers down her spine, Tannin shoved her once more and she fell onto the bed. No one had ever done that, either, and it was more arousing than she’d have believed possible.

“Stay like that with your feet on the floor.” He unzipped his jeans and pulled them down, revealing a thick, red cock that forced a loud moan from her. Her pussy was soaked now.

Tannin tore off his boots and socks, and in an effort to get his jeans off, he nearly fell over. Rai couldn’t stop staring at his legs. Dusted with dark hair, they featured an impressive array of tats and muscles that held her spellbound. She’d never seen such a gorgeous man.

“Lady, you are fucking delicious. I love your curvy body. I’m going to fuck your tits. I’m going to fuck your mouth. I’m going to fuck your pussy, and I’m going to fuck your ass.”

Yes! She wanted that. All of it. “Yes, Tannin. Yes! Fuck me. Fuck me everywhere.”

He straddled her, shoving his cock between her breasts. “Push your titties together.”

This was a first. She squeezed them against his cock as hard as she could. He grunted a few times as he thrust, before moving off her. “Spread your legs.” Rai did as he commanded, mesmerized by this rough, powerful man. He dropped to his knees and grasped her breasts again, licking the nipples, the sides, and underneath until his saliva had coated them.

When he’d settled his dick between them a second time, and after she’d once more pushed them together, this time when he thrust, his cock slid easily against her naked flesh.

“Oh, yes. That’s it. Oh fuck, that feels so damn good.”

Rai was mesmerized by the sight of his big dick thrusting between her breasts. Each pass brought the tip closer to her chin. Veins stood out on his neck. When his thrusts grew quick and jerky, she tensed, unsure what to expect. This was so arousing. Quirky, but very sexy.

Seconds after he cried out, hot cum splashed her chin and neck. She lifted her head higher and caught some on her lips. When she licked them, enjoying the salty taste, he moaned loudly and began to thrust again.

“God! You are so fucking sexy. Open your mouth.”

As soon as she did, Tannin lifted up, pulling his swollen cock from between her breasts to hold it, poised right at her lips. He milked the shaft with one hand, groaning loudly, while more tasty cum squirted into her mouth. With his other hand, he grasped her hair and forced her head closer to him.

The gesture was so dominant that Rai’s pussy fluttered in tiny contractions, especially once he shoved his dick into her mouth and finished coming inside it. She swallowed his cum, moaning softly as goosebumps broke out over her entire body. She’d never been taken like this, and never would have imagined how much she’d love it. But she wanted more. So much more.

The Helldorado Mongrels MC are back!

Hello Jacey!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly with me today!  It’s such a pleasure to chat with you.  So tell me…

Q) Is this book part of a series?  If so, can you tell us about it?

Yes, it is! :) Seduced by Him is the second story in the Helldorado Mongrels MC series. The series follows the lives of immortal shifters from different clans, stolen gold, an asshole of a motorcycle club president and individuals who find their mates.

Q) Can you give a fun or interesting fact about your book?

Queho was a real man. Sources say the Native American was the first mass murderer in the state of Nevada and had cursed the land around the town of Nelson and the Techatticup Mine.

Q) What gave you the inspiration for your book?

I’d been toying with the idea for this series for the past few years after catching an episode of Haunted Highway on Syfy regarding the Hellhounds of Eldorado Canyon. As for the individual book… Book one came about from an anthology call. It didn’t make the anthology, but was requested as a standalone. This book is Jarrod’s story, the brother of Cameron who was in book one, so the stories are just building off of one another.

Q) What are your upcoming projects?

My third book, Enchanted by Him, is in the works as is book four, Ruled by Him. I’m even playing around with some ideas for a couple more books in this series or doing them as a spin off.

Hey folks! I'm happy to announce that I have another story out! It's called Seduced by Him and is the second book in my series: Helldorado Mongrels MC. But first a little about me...

~ * ~ ABOUT THE BOOK ~ * ~
This story is the second book in my series called Helldorado Mongrels MC. The series follows different immortal shifter families, a couple of humans, and the quest for stolen gold. It takes place in southern Nevada. I’d been toying with the idea for this series for the past few years after catching an episode of Haunted Highway on Syfy regarding the Hellhounds of Eldorado Canyon.

In book two, Seduced by Him, two human brothers are at the end of their camping trip in the canyon where, as teenagers, they had a frightening experience in a gold mine when confronted with wolves. Jarrod Russell, one of the heroes of this story, is jealous his brother found love, and he wonders when he’ll find his other half. Which doesn’t take long since he runs into him in a store and then in a casino.

Jarrod and Tex, the sexy stranger (who is based off of Brock O'Hurn in case you were wondering ;) ) he keeps running into, have a one night stand that’s turning into something more when Jarrod is kidnapped by Tex’s fellow Helldorado Mongrels MC members.

Want to know what happens when Jarrod finds out the guy he’s super attracted to is an immortal wolf shifter and if he escapes the Mongrels? Well, you’ll just have to read the book now, won’t you? *wink*

~ * ~ BLURB ~ * ~
Wolf shifter and member of the Helldorado Mongrels MC, Dante “Tex” Valentin is restless and dissatisfied. He goes on a ride in search of excitement, never expecting to encounter his mate—a human male, who disrupts his world.

Jarrod Russell is envious his brother, Cameron, found love. Wondering if fortune will ever smile on him the same way, he runs into a man who rocks his world. A man he believes could be the love of his life.

When Jarrod and Tex’s paths cross again, a passion-filled night connects them. Because of who they are, though, they’re in danger from the Mongrels. Will their relationship be over before they even have a chance to love?

Be Warned: m/m sex, anal sex, language, violence

~ * ~ ADULT EXCERPT ~ * ~
The blond haired man without a name stood naked in his room.

Bare as the day he was born, too, Tex sat on the edge of the bed, leaning back on his elbows, and took in the view.

Tall, athletic physique. Classically handsome features with a full mouth. Cock that sported a slight curve. It didn’t appear to be overly big but still seemed to be larger than average. Just like he liked a man’s dick.

“What do you want me to do? Please. Tell me.”

He loved it when his partners had the touch of pleading in their voices, had amorous longing in their gazes, begging him to take them and use them as he saw fit. But this blond-haired, blue-eyed beauty wasn’t like the others. The lean, well-toned man didn’t fit the type of guy he’d normally go after—big, brawny, and rough around the edges—much like himself and the other Mongrels. No, the stranger from the store was the complete opposite, almost angelic, and the thought of claiming him sent lusty rivers of heat down into his rigid shaft.

“I want you to drop to your knees before me, take my cock in that luscious mouth of yours and suck me dry.”

A visible shudder racked the man’s body, and for a second he looked as if he might refuse, but then he closed the distance between them and knelt.

The angel positioned himself between Tex’s thighs and gently grasped his length. The bend of his fingers stroked him, feeling like the finest linen glancing against his skin. Tex’s body sizzled as his man’s appraisal of his body seemed to devour him. Then the stranger licked and kissed his cock and balls, sucked him into his mouth, and Tex felt as if he’d arrived home.

The guy laved its length and circled his fingers around its base, then traced the underside with the tip of his tongue and feathered his ball sack with the ends of his fingers.

Tex let his head fall back, enjoying the way the guy took command of his cock and savoring the delicate feel of the man’s moist and warm mouth on his shaft and his hands as they smoothed up his body.

So soft. Such a gentle caress. I love the way he’s touching me. Not enough though. Need to…

Q & A with Lucy Felthouse

Hello Lucy!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly with me today!  It’s such a pleasure to chat with you.  So tell me…

Q) How did you dream up the dynamics of your characters?

It just kind of happened, really. I planned to write about a female spy/secret agent, and an upper-class British male in the diamond-scamming business. The rest just kind of happened when I started writing, and the dynamics developed as I wrote.

Q) Is this book part of a series?  If so, can you tell us about it?

Not officially, at the moment. But in this novel I’ve created the sort of world and characters which would easily lend themselves to a series. I have quite a few other writing projects lined up in coming months, so once I’ve completed those I’ll see how things stand then. I’d like to think I can continue with it as a series.

Q) Can you give a fun or interesting fact about your book?

It actually started life as a novella. It was contracted to be published, but then the publisher closed and I luckily got my rights back with no issues. At the time of writing the book, I’d found that I just wanted to keep writing more, so I decided to go back and continue where I left off. I tweaked what had previously been the ending and then carried on and soon I had a novel!

Q) Do you have any habits that get you in the writing frame of mind?

Deadlines usually do a pretty good job of getting me in the mood! LOL. No, as long as I’m feeling okay (i.e. not tired, or having a headache or anything), I can pretty much open a Word document and get some words down. If the outside world is noisy, I’ll put in my earplugs and shut it all out.

Q) Do you plan all your characters out before you start a story or do they develop as you write?

I’ve only ever planned a storyline, never the characters. Or, should I say, I might know who the characters are—i.e. their names, ages, basic background and what they look like, but their personalities and development very much unfold on the page as I write.

Q) How much real life do you put into or influences your books?

It depends on the book, I guess. There’s probably something “real” in most of my books—whether it’s a location, a situation, or something else. In this book in particular, I’m familiar with all the locations—Amsterdam, London and Brasov (Romania) and used my own memories and experiences to help me write. Other than that, given it’s a sexy spy thriller and I’m a very boring person who happens to be a writer, it’s all made up!

Q) What are your upcoming projects?

In terms of releases already scheduled, I have a MM, slightly bonkers superhero story coming out on 15th August, called Unseen: http://lucyfelthouse.co.uk/published-works/unseen/

Writing-wise, I’m currently working on a story for an anthology I’m putting together. It’s a charity anthology that is raising funds for the British Red Cross, more specifically the fund they’ve put together for helping victims of terrorism.

After that, I’ll be writing a paranormal story for a boxed set. Then... who knows? It depends what deadline is after that, and what inspires me.

Blurb:

Mallory Scott is an espionage operative, working for the British government. She’s travelled all over the world, often going undercover and infiltrating criminal organisations in order to extract the intelligence needed to dismantle their operations and bring the perpetrators to justice. Given her usual targets are terrorists, people-traffickers, drug-traffickers and arms dealers, her latest assignment should be relatively simple. A small group of Brits is raking in serious money in the diamond-scamming business—and although their MO is theft and forgery, rather than hurting people, they still need to be stopped. But up until now, they’ve proved elusive—no one can catch them in the act, or find a shred of evidence against them.

That’s where Mallory comes in. She follows the group to Amsterdam, planning to get her claws in to one of the gang. Luck is on her side, and within twenty-four hours she’s lunching with Baxter Collinson, the youngest—and most handsome—diamond thief. What she’s not expecting, however, is to get on with him quite so well. Attraction bubbles between them—and for once, on Mallory’s part, it isn’t an act. For the first time in her career, Mallory struggles with what she must do.
Can she ignore her heart for the sake of her career?

Excerpt:
Mallory Scott spotted the people she was looking for as soon as she walked into the hotel bar. Hell, she hadn’t even needed to search; they were being so loud and obnoxious they were practically screaming for attention.

Stupid, in Mallory’s opinion. If you were running an international diamond scam, surely you’d want to keep a low profile? But no, apparently these guys didn’t give a shit. Not only were they screaming for attention—and getting it, she noticed, as other patrons of the bar shot them the occasional glare—they were also projecting the fact that they were filthy rich. They were supping on the most expensive champagne money could buy and demanding oysters and caviar be brought in. The overwhelming arrogance made her blood boil, but she consoled herself with the fact that by the time she was done with them, they’d be taken down by more than a peg or two—they’d be at rock bottom.

Heading for a table in a position where she could watch them, but remain partially hidden behind a pillar, she shook her head. She could hardly believe they’d kept their multi-million-pound enterprise going for so long. If they ran their operation as sloppily as their current behaviour indicated they might, it was a miracle indeed.

Not that it mattered. They could be running the tightest ship ever known to man, and she would still find a way to take them down. It was what she did. For years now, she’d been successfully infiltrating illegal operations of varying kinds, then gradually dismantling them from the inside. Before the criminals realised what was happening, it was too late—their wrists were practically in the handcuffs, their arses on their way to jail.

This project was different from the ones she usually handled. Her past takedowns included terrorist plots, kidnappings, drugs, people-trafficking… that kind of thing. She’d been involved because sending in police or military personnel wouldn’t work. Not in those particular circumstances. To be truly effective, Mallory needed to infiltrate the organisations at the top, gain their trust—or at least enough trust to allow her to snoop—and acquire evidence of their involvement to ensure their convictions. Otherwise, rushing in and stopping the terrorists, saving people and so on, important as that was, would only affect a tiny part of the organisation. It was vital to dismantle the whole thing, from the big bosses and the money men, right down to the minions doing the leg work.

An added bonus to this approach was that the victims of these organisations, as well as being saved, would know that justice had been served to those that hurt them, and the knowledge that they’d never get the opportunity to do it again. It was dangerous but fulfilling work, and Mallory couldn’t imagine doing anything else. She loved the adrenaline rush, the challenge.

And the challenge element was precisely why this job was different. In as much as it wasn’t supposed to be particularly challenging. Intel gathered over the past year had pinpointed the what, the who—though they couldn’t yet put faces to names—the where and the how, and that had been done covertly, without the need for an undercover operative. All that remained in this case was to find out the when, so they could be caught in the act. It should have been simple, really. But the group was careful, exceedingly so. One of their number was a hacker, meaning that trying to access their emails, internet search histories and voicemails, or tap their phones without being detected was almost impossible. They were smart.

Which meant the only option remaining was the old-fashioned approach.
A honey trap. It was Mallory’s mission to attract the attention of one of the men in the group—hell, even one of the women if any of them swung that way—and slowly, slowly cultivate and exploit their relationship in order to get the information she needed. Then boom, another international criminal enterprise would bite the dust.

Which brought Mallory to her current position, dressed up in ludicrously expensive designer gear and half-hiding behind a pillar in the bar of Amsterdam’s most exclusive hotel. Someone less experienced than Mallory might have found the idea of staying out of sight ridiculous. The aim was to get the attention of one of the gang members, after all. But Mallory was at the top of her game, the very best of the best, and she knew damn well that putting in a little groundwork early on would pay off in spades. Before she did anything, before she so much as batted an eyelash in the direction of the gang, she needed to identify her target. It was pointless trying to eye-fuck with a bloke from across the room, only to discover he preferred men, or was happily married and the faithful type. That would attract the wrong kind of attention. When she did get noticed by the group, she wanted it to be for the right reasons, and on her terms. If they caught even so much as a whiff of her deception, it would be game over.

So she would watch, and wait. Then as soon as she decided which one of the group was going to be her new boyfriend, she’d move in for the kill. Figuratively speaking, of course. Killing wasn’t her job. She was capable of it, and over the course of her career had ended more than one life in self-defence, or in order to protect others, but she was no cold-blooded murderer.
She was something much more dangerous; something that no one ever saw coming.

Writer's Block Bypass Exercise

Got Writer’s Block?

Yeah, it happens to the best of us.  Life gets in the way and your brain is taken in another direction and before you know it, it’s been days or weeks since you last looked at that book you’re trying to write.  You’ve forgotten little details.  What eye color did you give your hero?  What town was your heroine born in?

My awesome significant other, Mike, got me a Writer’s Emergency Pack two years ago for my birthday. They’re by John August and I thought I’d give you a little jump start that might be fun for your brain.  They were for mine.  So, focus on the moment in your story that’s causing you grief and see if these exercises help you out.

First one…

Cause and Effect

Actions have consequences.  How can the next few events result because of something your hero does?

>Talk through your story, replacing every “and then” with “because”. What would need to change?
> Imagine your story being told in reverse, Memento-style. How could your setups become payoffs?
> The biggest effects come from irrevocable choices. List three decisions your hero couldn’t take back.

Everything happens for a reason. Usually, that reason should be your hero. Look for ways he can take the reins of the story.  There’s nothing wrong with a “passive” hero as long as his passivity alters the course of the story. (By his doing nothing, something changes). Consider reversing the cause and effect.  What if your hero robs a bank because he’s a fugitive?  What if your doctor causes rather than cures the epidemic?

***John August designed these cards to help writers fix plot holes, spice up stock characters and rethink your themes.  They, of course, do not guarantee you’ll get published or that you’ll become the next J.K. Rowling, and of course they are only a tool to help you think outside the box. I make no monetary gain with them nor do I expect anything in return.  I do not own the contents in these cards. If you're interested in them, here's the amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Writer-Emergency-Pack/dp/B00R6ZLIOY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1502046610&sr=8-2&keywords=john+august I'll post another card next Sunday.
