Sizzling Summer Bloghop...Two are Better than One

(Technically, the term of three or more people in a relationship is polyamorous but somehow the term ménage stuck.  So, for the sake of this article, I’m sticking with it.)

My mother raised both eyebrows at me when I told her I wanted to write a ménage love story.  Why? she asked.  Because it’s hard to write and I love a challenge.  She gave me one of those yeah, right looks.

Also, because two alpha men are HOT!

Most would-be erotica romance nay-sayers probably would snicker at that because, after all, how hard could it be to write three people getting it on?  But they’d be ignoring the most import word of that statement…romance.  Now romance between three people has to be believable, at least for me it does.  I do admit that I have a ménage or two out there that I wrote early in my career that seems a little too insta-love, but as I began to read more, learn more, I came to love the complexity of having two alpha males vying for one female.

Male testosterone can be a bitch, so when you times that by two, there’s going to be uncertainty, jealousy, pounding on the chest, and pissing on legs.  Issues have to be dealt with for that happy ever after.  In my ménage book, True to Her Heart, I took a funny stance where the heroine, Molly, falls for two men while on vacation in Paris.  But these men happen to be best friends.  The twist?  Neither of them realizes they’re seeing the same girl.  Oh boy, what a naughty girl shy little Molly turns out to be.

Often, to make the ménage work, the author will have the two men either be best friends or related, establishing that back story right out of the gate.  I’ve done this a lot myself.  But recently I decided to push the concept a little.  I recently finished a book (that is tied up with a publisher right now…fingers crossed!) where the two males do not trust each other at all.  One thinks the other killed his cousin.  But they come together for the safe of the heroine, so finding a middle ground on such a slippery slope made writing it a challenge.  You can’t have hero #1 threatening hero #2 and then the next scene willing to share a girl in bed.  Above all, there has to be believability.

That’s the key in any good ménage book.  Believing it.  You have to answer the question: why are they willing to share?  Because ménage should be complicated, heartfelt and downright sexy.  If you add those three, you’ll have a winning combination!

Welcome Ela Stein & her Sexy New Book!

Hi Ela!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly with me today! Wow...this cover is amazing!

First of all, thank you so much for having me here today! “Venus In Fur Coat” is a bit of a rarity of me – it’s a contemporary romance and I’m more of a sci-fi/fantasy type of gal. But when inspiration strikes, you don’t ask questions. The idea for this story came to me fully formed, which was kind of cool. I also love the art aspect in it – I’ve painted and drawn my whole life, and more recently (well, like the past 10 years at this point), have done a lot of scrapbooking. So I’m a bit of an artist at heart, and I really identify with Derek. And I also identify with Cara, who has a very practical streak to her. After all, I did set all my artsy stuff aside to pursue school and a more traditional career. So I guess one could say that they both have different aspects of my personality… and it was kind of cool watching them come together :)

Q) How did you dream up the dynamics of your characters?

Honestly, the idea for the story just kind of hit me out of nowhere. Also, for Derek, I sort of had that sexy image of Jack drawing Rose in Ttanic (although Derek doesn’t look anything like Jack). And I also had this image stuck in my mind of an ad I found maybe 20 years ago and saved in my diary - it was a woman painter about to get it on with her (super sexy) nude model. So yeah… plenty of inspiration there!

Q) Do you have any habits that get you in the writing frame of mind?

Having something to drink as I work usually helps (not THAT kind of a drink :) I’m just more of a liquid snack type of person. I also like to watch music videos - they’re usually very visual and artistic and get me into that mind set. I also like to browse images and I loveee my Pinterest! I have inspiration boards up for several of my works - just browsing those helps me get into the right mindset.

Q) What are your upcoming projects?

I’m in the process of editing a long erotic romance novel that is set in a fantasy/steampunk world, that will be coming out in September with Loose Id. I’m also writing a sci-fi futuristic erotic romance which should be a lot of fun.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Blurb:
Cara is an accounting major in college, and she is practical, a little cynical, and focused on her studies. When she allows her roommate to drag her to a frat party, the last thing she expects is running into the artsy-bad-boy type who tempts her to throw all her typical reservations out the window.

Derek tends to go with his feelings—intense and passionate, with a strong alpha streak. It will be up to him to bring Cara out of her shell and help her experience life to its fullest. Both of them feel that special spark, and one passionate night could change the course of their lives forever.

Excerpt:
Derek followed her through the hallway. She was already walking down the street, away from the house by the time he made it outside. He watched her walking away, debating whether he should approach her now. It was dark out, and he didn’t want to freak her out by seeming stalker-ish. But then again, if she was going to be walking around alone at night, she’d probably be better off with a friendly stalker keeping her company.

Having decided, he set off at a light jog to catch up with her. She wasn’t too far ahead, likely slowed down by her high-heeled boots. His cock had responded as soon as he first laid eyes on her, standing there all timid and uncertain, and now that he could see her ass wiggling as she walked, he grew painfully hard. His jeans were not designed to accommodate a huge hard-on. He adjusted himself just before catching up to her.

She was everything that turned him on in a woman. Curves in all the right places, so voluptuous that he could just imagine himself sinking into her, her soft cushioning against his own hard planes. Her hair had an adorable bit of frizz to it, and she wore it pulled back from an angelic face. The face of a goddess. A face right out of ancient paintings by the great masters.

His boots crunched on the gravel and she stopped and turned around. His heart picked up speed when their gazes met again, and he was glad he followed his gut. No way was he giving up until he got to know her better. Dating just for the hell of it was starting to lose its appeal. If he was honest with himself, he’d had his fill of it for a long time, but until now, no one had come along that made him want anything more serious.

“Hey.” Maybe not the most eloquent way to start the conversation, but she stood staring at him with wide eyes and a startled expression, waiting for him to say something.

“Hi.” Her voice was a whisper. The wind picked up speed and rustled through the leaves in the trees around them, as though echoing her.

“It’s not safe to be walking around alone at night.” Criticizing her choices, right off the bat, probably wasn’t the greatest way to make an impression, but it had been a pretty bad move on her part. Even if she wanted nothing to do with him, he didn’t like the idea of her walking around alone at night. There were too many assholes out there, and it just wasn’t safe.

She raised a brow in response and crossed her arms across her chest. He guessed that was her pissed-off look, but it was somewhat spoiled by how hot her tits looked pushed up that way.

“Oh, really? I guess it’s safer to be out here at night with a total stranger?”

About Ela Stein:

Reading was my entertainment and salvation as a child, and it transferred into a passion for writing. I am still very much a reader, and love many different genres, from erotic romance, to fantasy (and dark fantasy... Game of Thrones, anyone?), to historical fiction, and that love is reflected in my own writing as well. If you'd like to learn more about me, or chat about books and life, you can find me all over the web. I’d love hearing from my readers. You can find me here:

Welcome Tamsin Baker! Super Sexy M/M Romance

Hi Tamsin!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly with me today! I must admit, I have stared at your cover for a long time!  LOL!

Thanks so much for hosting me on your blog today!
I’m super excited about my first real Evernight release of the year.
A short m/m that I just adored writing and hope you guys enjoy it too.

Q) How did you dream up the dynamics of your characters?

Well, this story was originally written for an anthology, so the dynamic was already written in a sense. The executive assistant being in love with their boss. Nick and Tayte were born out of what I considered good fits for that. The gorgeous, hard working, dominant boss and the adoring, smart and utterly lovely assistant. The fact that they are two hot men just make it so much better.

Q) Do you have any habits that get you in the writing frame of mind?

Hmmm, probably just the habit of writing when I want to, not because I have to. I get a scene in mind and go nuts, or I don’t. I love the passion that comes out of that.

Q) What are your upcoming projects?

I’m currently working on two ménages. An MMF Planet Alpha book for Evernight and the sequel to Prowling the Vet, called Stalking Their Mate, which is a MFM shifter erotic romance. I’ve never written MFM before, and I’m finding the challenge super fun!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Blurb:
Nick is the most beautiful, successful, amazing man—just ask his executive assistant Tayte.
Tayte’s been in love with his boss from the moment he set eyes on him. But two years working with him and Tayte isn’t even sure Nick is gay.
But it’s time for his contract evaluation and Nick wants to give Tayte more than just a raise.

Excerpt:
“Hey, Tayte.”
The insipid voice of Connor Turner bounced into Tayte’s brain and he suppressed the shudder that rose. He lifted his gaze and took in the spectrum of color before him.
“Hey, Connor.”
Connor, who was the assistant of Greg Scholl, the man just beneath Nick on the totem pole, flounced up and rested his hip on Tayte’s desk.
“So… found out if Nick is gay yet?”
Tayte forced a smile to his lips and sat up straighter in his chair. He didn’t know, much to his chagrin. Even if he did, he certainly wouldn’t be announcing it to the biggest gossip in the building.
“Not my business, Connor.”
Connor laughed and winked. “I’ll take that as a no. You know, they say Nick only wants male assistants because he has a super jealous wife at home who can’t handle the idea of him having a hot secretary.”
Tayte inhaled sharply through his nose and turned his smile up a notch.
“I haven’t encountered a wife, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t one.”
And it was true. Tayte hadn’t encountered any wives, girlfriends, no significant other at all. However, that didn’t mean anything, since Nick received a lot of calls on his cell, but after two years, Tayte was starting to think Nick was single.
But Hetero or Homo? That was the million dollar question.
“I have heaps of work to do, Connor, and I’m sure you do too.”
Connor giggled and stepped back, his hips swinging as he moved back toward the lift.
“Oh, I’ve been working since sunrise. You know how it is.” He winked and laughed, turning away without waiting for Tayte to respond.
“No, but you certainly do.” Tayte answered anyway, grinding his teeth in frustration for a minute. He hated those sorts of guys. He didn’t mind effeminate gay men. Hell, he’d fucked more than his fair share of them over the years. But guys that deliberately acted ‘gay’ when it wasn’t their natural disposition just pissed him off. Not to mention how much men, and women for that matter, who slept their way to the top, and Connor was a prime example of that, really grated on his nerves.
“Well, you can get in line behind me if you want Nick, Connor, because I’m not moving.” Tayte muttered to himself and scanned over his list of daily jobs. Wow. Lucky Nick was out of the office today, or he’d never get all that done.
He worked all afternoon, not stopping when everyone else left at five. He really should go home, but what was waiting for him there? Two idiotic housemates and a pile of dirty washing.
“You could actually go out. Get laid.” He muttered to himself once again, furious he wasn’t excited about another one-night stand.
But how could he be? Ten minutes with some random guy? Yuck, he’d had enough of that sort of life.
“You could, I’m sure.” Nick’s voice boomed through the foyer and Tayte cried out as shock had him jumping back from his desk, his heart leaping into his throat before settling to pound against his rib cage as he looked up at his boss.
“Fuck, you scared me.”
Nick walked closer, pulling at his tie and letting it hang on his shirt in a casual way.
“Why are you still here, Tayte? You’re young and beautiful. You should be out getting your cock sucked by some lovely little thing.”
Heat flowed up into Tayte’s cheeks and he glanced down at his computer, quickly shutting down all the open programs. He’d never heard Nick speak like that, and the crude words were turning him on in a shameful way. Nothing better than a man who could talk dirty.
“Ah, well, I had to finish a few things and I, ah, l…lost track of time. I’ll g…get out of your way and h…head home now though.”
Tayte was stuttering, but he couldn’t help it. He was as embarrassed as the day his mother had found him jerking off in the bathroom when he was fifteen.
“Don’t rush, if you don’t have to go. Stay.”

Book Reivew - The Baby Contract by Olivia Starke

First the disclaimer: I was given a copy of this book for an honest review and I really have!  Warning, may give a few tiny spoilers.

The premise intrigued me.  I’ve read a lot of “billionaire” stories but I’ve never read one where the billionaire needed a baby to secure his inheritance.  It seems like a simple concept and yet it’s anything but for Liam Whitmore III.  Sure, he’s found the perfect woman to be his baby mama, but it’s the unexpected feelings that develop that are the problem.

This was the first book by Ms. Starke that I’ve read and I really liked her writing style.  It was smart, intelligent, and witty, and kept a fast pace that made this book a real page turner.  She really gave a sense of this world by showcasing just how much a workaholic Liam is and how much the heroine, Abby, needs the money.

The other things I liked about the book might seem petty, but for someone who writes erotica romance I had to appreciate.  The cover is amazing.  I love it's simplicity that manages to reveal a depth to the couple from a single snapshot.  Next, the sex was hot, but not overt like a lot of erotica romances.  Sure there were graphic words a plenty, but somehow it felt more basic than some other stuff I've read (or written!).

The bad guy’s motives were very believable, surprisingly.  I mean, we go on a tangent about him knocking up some girl he had an affair with and now has to pay her off.  That and his gambling debts makes him a real scumball, but not enough of one to just commit murder to get what he needs.  Killing someone would be, I assume, very traumatizing for most of us and it was good to know that even though the bad guy was a lousy everything else, he wasn't so far gone as to cross that line.  Now, someone else, sure and Ms. Starke was sure to cover her bases there, just to keep it all interesting.

My one complaint was, at times, Liam was almost unlikable.  More than one time I wanted to shake him. After the baby making they seemed to spend more time apart then they did together and misunderstandings kept coming in their way.  There wasn't much of a build up of them learning a lot about each other.  That may seem overly critical but that's just one small portion of the book and believe me, writers read critique and reflect on it to learn.  At least I do, and I think Ms. Starke is a fabulous writer.

In the end, it all came together for a happy ever after.  This book was pretty clean of errors and had an interesting story.  I would definitely recommend it with a glass of wine and a comfortable chair.

Having a baby is Abby's dream. Will Liam's enemies stop her happily ever after?

Liam Whitmore III is floored by the surprise stipulation in his father's will—provide an heir within one year or he'll lose the controlling portion of Whitmore Incorporated to his cousin Spencer. The corporation is Liam's life. He'll do anything to keep his cousin's hands off of it, including finding a woman who'll bear his child. Though finding the right woman seems an impossible task since he doesn't have room in his life for anything except running the company. He doesn't want a wife, just an heir.

Abby Haden's family is about to lose their ranch, the only life her ailing father and brother have ever known. She feels helpless and is desperate to help. When the most coveted bachelor in Austin, Liam Whitmore III, also known as the Takeover Tyrant, offers to pay her to have his child it seems too incredible to be true. She's all but given up hope of ever having a baby. Not only will her dream of being a mother come true, but she can also save the family ranch.

It was just supposed to be a business deal, but Abby and Liam find it hard to keep their hearts out of what it takes to make a baby. Even as they sort out their feelings, others have their eye on Whitmore Incorporated. Liam and Abby will soon discover how far they'll go to make sure Abby never produces that heir.

Content Warning: contains graphic sex, explicit language, mild violence, and a heroine with a history of domestic abuse

The Baby Contract – Excerpt

Abby closed her eyes tight and pressed send on her phone. Liam's phone rang once, twice, three times. A bit relieved, she waited to be routed to his voicemail.

"Liam Whitmore's office."

She sucked in a hard breath and nearly dropped the phone. "Uh…hi…this is Abby Haden, Abigail Haden that is."

"Yes, Miss Haden," the receptionist said quickly. "Please hold."

Several seconds passed.

"This is Liam."

"I…" Abby paused, searching her heart one last time. Her grip on her cellphone tightened, and her courage failed. "I…I…"

"What's the holdup?" Liam asked, his voice gruff.

She flinched. "H-holdup?" she stammered.

"Seven hundred fifty thousand dollars, and that's the final offer, Miss Haden. Take it or leave it."

Abby blinked. "That's not—"

"Take it or leave it," Liam interrupted. "I want an answer now."

His brisk tone set her on edge and raised her ire. Her courage returned. "Fine, but I have a requirement."

His pause felt tangible through the phone, and she feared he'd had second thoughts. Not that she'd back down from her decision.

"What is it?" He nearly growled the question.

She filled her lungs with air. "I want two hundred fifty thousand upon conception, the rest after the baby is born."

Another pause. "We have a deal." His anger had disappeared, his voice holding no hint of emotion.

Abby blew out her pent-up breath. "Okay, good. I've been unable to find a clinic for the…the artificial, um, you know." She placed a cool palm on her flaming hot cheek. If it was possible to die from embarrassment, she'd be a goner for sure.

"I'm not following you, Miss Haden," Liam said. She heard papers shuffling in the background. "I'll have the contract drawn up."

"Artificial insemination," Abby blurted out.

"Artificial insemination?" He sounded taken aback. "I hadn't considered any such thing."

Abby frowned in confusion. "How else are we going to get me pregnant?"

Liam's laughter echoed through the phone. Rich and throaty, it sent a hot tingle down Abby's spine. Goose bumps broke out over her skin.

"Miss Haden, there are such pleasurable ways of making a baby that are quite successful," he said, his voice dropping to a deep rumble over the phone. Abby took a shuddering breath as it did obscene things to her insides. His tone returned to its more business-like manner. "I have a cabin in Aspen. As soon as your cycle is at the most likely time for you to conceive we'll fly up there for a week," he said. "AI would take too much time," he added.

"I-I didn't plan on that," Abby stuttered, her mind reeling. Sex hadn't been in the equation when she'd made her decision. Sex? With Liam? Oh my God. Her heart kicked into overdrive. "Look, Mr. Whitmore—"

"I'll set up an appointment with my physician for STD tests. Can you be there tomorrow afternoon by, say…" He paused briefly. "Three-thirty?"

"Mr. Whitmore, I—"

"Do you know when you'll most likely ovulate again?"

Abby blinked, she was being steamrolled.

"Miss Haden, it's a simple question. I need to know."

She looked at her calendar, she'd already figured up the days in case she'd gotten an appointment at one of
the clinics she called. "Um, next week, but listen—"

Liam pushed on. "I'll have everything set up. We can leave for Aspen late Sunday evening. My personal assistant will be in touch tomorrow morning to give you directions to my physician's office."

"Mr. Whitmore, there's no way I can get off work for a week on such short notice. It's Tuesday," she insisted, trying to backpedal.

"It's taken care of. Don't worry, Abigail," he said.

The sound of her given name rolling off his tongue caught her off guard. It stopped her next objection dead in its tracks.

"What's your contact number?" he asked.

Abby gave him her cellphone number.

After a quick 'thank you' Liam hung up, leaving Abby in a bit of a stupor. His driven personality explained his business success, as well as the rumored success he had with women. He was a raging river and she had been helplessly swept along in its current.

Welcome Elizabeth Monvey! New Author!

Hello Elizabeth!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly!  You are a brand new author and I'm honored that you picked my blog to showcase your first book!

Q) How did you dream up the dynamics of your characters?

Thank you so much for hosting me!

Living in Los Angeles, I've had my fair share of earthquakes and I've always made a joke that if I was in an apartment building, I'd want to be on the top floor so if the building came down I wouldn't have that much rubble on top.  Gruesome, I know.  (I'm a secret Investigation Discovery addict)

But that led me to dream about two lovers separated by an earthquake so that's how I dreamed up Tighe and Scotty.  The rest just fell into place and I'm super happy that this book is the first one for me being published.

Q) Do you have any habits that get you in the writing frame of mind?

Coffee.  Music.  I have a young child so I'm used to working through distraction.  I get ideas for stories all over the place so I always carry pen and paper with me wherever I go.  Sometimes I jot things down and then come home and type it up.

Q) What are your upcoming projects?

I am working on a series for Evernight titled "My Boyfriend Is..." .  It's Romance on the Go stories (about 8-12 thousand words) of men who find out they have a supernatural boyfriend.  So far there's My Werewolf Boyfriend and My Vampire Boyfriend.  I just submitted My Alien Boyfriend (fingers crossed it's picked up!).  I have a bunch more of these stories up my proverbial sleeve.

Bother Me BLURB

Thirty-eight year old Tighe Valentine has moved to Los Angeles to help care for his ailing mother.  His next door neighbor, Scotty, lives a carefree life of surfing and beach parties and pretty soon, Tighe starts wondering how in the world a much younger man managed to capture his fascination.

For Scotty Tilden, Tighe is his dream man, if only Tighe would see it his way.  But his sexy neighbor is stubborn and in denial of his true sexuality which is in contrast to how Scott lives his life.

And then the world turns upside down as a devastating earthquake rips everything apart.  As Tighe searchers desperately for Scotty, all he can think about and pray for is finding alive the man who’s stolen his heart.

EXCERPT

As he gathered up the equipment he needed for the work ahead, the horses began to neigh and dance around in their stalls.  He stopped and checked them out, as did the other workers, but the horses distress only increased.
A second later the earth began to shake.
This wasn’t some minor thing.  Even not knowing a thing about earthquakes Tighe knew this was big.  He was knocked off his feet and he grabbed one of the stall walls in an effort to keep himself upright.  It was a loosing battle and down he went, as did half the barn.  Men were yelling, horses were screaming, and to Tighe it seemed like the world was ending.  The rolling waves lasted forever as he was battered with wood and debris and all he could do was cover his head and pray that the rollercoaster ride ended soon.
And then just like that, it did.
His stomach, however, was still quavering as he pushed off the rubble and got to his feet.  There were moans and groans coming from various piles and he moved mechanically, helping men detangle themselves.  No one seemed hurt worse than some cuts and scrapes but two horses were hurt bad.  The others had escaped the barn and were currently running around wild, clearly frightened out of their minds.  When the next earthquake it, it wasn’t as strong and Tighe was able to stay on his feet.  It only lasted a few seconds, however and things were still once more.
“This isn’t going to go on forever, is it?” he asked one of his co-workers.
The man shook his head.  “After shocks.  Might be a few more, might not be.”
Tighe dug out his cell phone but there wasn’t any signal.  Something that powerful must have knocked out a few cell towers.  His first thought was his mother.  The second thought was Scotty.
“I have to get back to the city,” he told everyone.  “I have family.  I have…”
He was going to say a boyfriend, but Scotty wasn’t really his boyfriend.  He could’ve been, but he’d fucked up.  What if something happened to Scotty?  Oh God, he couldn’t seem to stop fucking up.  He had to find him.

Tyler Robbins Visits - Q & A on the New Release BROKEN NEON!

Hi Tyler!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly with me today! I'm so excited to hear about your new book "Broken Neon"!

Q) How did you dream up the dynamics of your characters?

I suppose, before answering that question, I should explain why I created the characters in the first place. As a fan of all music genres, and a lifelong Texan, country music has played a monumental role in my life. Country music is probably the most “stereotyped” genre in the industry. While depicting a love of Freedom, God and Country, perhaps it has inadvertently excluded or rejected a significant percentage of the population, whereas Pop and other music genres have embraced entertainers and fans from all walks of life much more openly, encouraging a tolerance of all people regardless of age, sex, race, creed or sexual orientation. The time has come for the acceptance of entertainers who reflect a true representation of all types of people, not just those who fit a certain mold. Each of my heroes are down to earth, “good ol’ country boys” with a strong sense of family and respectable convictions, much like the selection of people country music claims to cater to. However, what sets them apart is that these particular gentlemen just so happen to love each other rather than some sweet, southern belle. And that should be represented as well.

Q) Do you have any habits that get you in the writing frame of mind?

One thing I often require is silence. No distractions, no music, no TV, and no interruptions unless there’s an emergency. One bad habit I have, which is probably the unhealthiest, is snacking (especially when the writing is flowing best) and not getting enough exercise. My thighs and gluteus maximums are all the proof anyone needs that writing can be hazardous to your health. J

Q) What are your upcoming projects?

Currently, I am adding M/M novellas to my self-published series, the Blue Haven Boys while working on full length M/M novels to submit for publishing consideration. One huge project is my first ever MMF paranormal ménage. I am very excited and look forward to seeing how it all turns out.

Blurb:
Country music singer, Zane Alexander has struggled to keep his sexuality a secret, but hiding his attraction to their new guitarist, Finn Presswood, is damn near impossible. On the run from a dangerous ex-lover, Finn has secrets of his own, but his feelings for Zane isn’t one of them.

When the new song they co-wrote leads to a recording contract with a major Nashville label, it becomes clear that their lives are about to change. Unfortunately, secrets are harder to hide in the limelight, so Zane fake-dating a famous supermodel whose career is on the line as well, seems like the best solution for everyone.

Their dreams are finally within their grasp until Finn’s past catches up, and no matter how much the two men love each other, happiness is never guaranteed.
If good intentions pave the road to hell, then broken neon paves the road to Nashville.

 Excerpt:
As he crossed the threshold, he tossed his hat onto the table and made a beeline to the mini-fridge. The door closed behind them, but Zane paid it little mind as he bent down to retrieve two cold beers. When he turned around, his heart skipped a beat.
Finn stood directly behind him, his shirt already unbuttoned and his jaw flexed taut. The hungry look in Finn’s eyes made Zane’s cock swell.
“Shit.” Zane let the bottles of beer fall to the floor as Finn moved in.
Their teeth clanked together from the voracious kiss, igniting the explosive passion that had been building between them. Tongues tangled, battling for domination, while clothes and boots flew about the room.
“I’ve wanted this…” Finn panted. “So fucking long.”
“Shut the hell up.” Zane shoved Finn back onto the bed and crawled up the length of him.
Zane felt Finn’s hardened cock jam into his side, and he reached down to stroke it without hesitation.
Finn pushed Zane’s hand away and flipped him over, then glared down into his eyes. “You better make this last.” Finn’s gravelly tone only added to the need pulsing through Zane’s cock.
He kissed Finn’s shoulder and chest as he dug his nails into Finn’s back.
Finn winced and kissed Zane even harder, rocking his groin against Zane’s thigh. Pre-cum seeped from Finn’s thick shaft, dampening Zane’s skin. He swallowed hard, wanting nothing more than to lick the crown clean. He gripped Finn’s cock, and stroked it, causing Finn to bite down on Zane’s bottom lip as they kissed.
Zane reciprocated by sucking Finn’s lip into his mouth, while his mind ventured to thoughts of what he’d rather be sucking. The desire surprised Zane a little. Usually, he was the one being pleasured, but this was different. Zane wanted to get Finn off so badly, he could taste it.
He pushed up on Finn’s shoulders and kissed his way down his chest.
Finn rolled off and lay on his back. He ran his fingers through Zane’s hair and moaned as Zane moved lower. The sound excited Zane even more. His own cock ached. His need for release intensified with each blood-surging pulse.
Zane gripped Finn’s shaft firmly then wrapped his tongue around the crown.
Finn shuddered.
Salty sweetness coated Zane’s taste-buds. He tongue fucked the slit, searching for every drop Finn had to offer.
“Feels so fucking good.” Finn writhed and pulled Zane’s hair.
Zane swallowed Finn’s shaft. His eyes and mouth watered as each bob of his head plunged deeper. He flattened his tongue along Finn’s cock and lapped his satiny flesh like an ice cream cone.
Finn groaned and grabbed Zane’s arm, tugging him upward until they were chest to chest once again. He peered down into Finn’s eyes as they hugged each other close. Zane had missed this feeling. This connection.
This sense of giving himself to someone. He hadn’t shared this kind of mutual intimacy since before he started singing professionally, and even that was nothing more than teenage infatuation.
Finn’s eyelids lowered to half-mast. “Don’t stop.”
The urgency in Finn’s tone fueled Zane’s resolve. He’d take his new lover all the way to the other side. Past the point of no return. All of Zane’s previous doubts faded fast. “Once I have you, I might not want to let you go.”
He’d tried so hard to deny himself this pleasure. Kept it hidden, only allowing a few stolen moments with someone he’d paid to deliver, but none of that compared to letting his guard down and really indulging.
“We’ll cross that bridge when we get there.”
Zane leaned in and kissed him tenderly, savoring the feel of Finn’s lips pressed to his. The taste of his tongue and the warmth of his body fused to his own. This was exactly what Zane had wanted for so long.
If Zane were ever able to offer a man everything, Finn Presswood could damn sure be the man he’d give it to.

Welcome Elodie Parkes! Q&A with the Charaters!

Hello Elodie!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly!  What a beautiful cover!  Elodie is talking about her hot ménage Evernight Publishing Romance on the Go release, Night of the Horse.

Night of the Horse is erotic paranormal romance. A steamy contemporary love story with a twist. It’s set in present day England in a semi-rural town. Summer has just begun and Rosie, our heroine, is feeling wistful. She’s lonely and beginning to wonder if she’ll ever find love.
I got the inspiration from seeing a paddock full of horses on one of my journeys for my day job. There’s a specific route I have to take to get to part of the county. It takes me through beautiful countryside and past what I believe is the back of a horse stud.
They were running, galloping around and around as if they were in some mysterious race only they knew about. I found a place to take my Jeep off the road and walked back to photograph them. I’d only taken a few minutes to do it, but when I reached the paddock where the fence allowed access, only two horses remained there, a white one with a long flowing mane and a tall glossy black one. Who knows where the others had gone, maybe over the hill through a gap in hedgerow I couldn’t see.
I stood by the fence and both horses walked down to me. I had climbed onto the bottom wooden bar of the fence and balanced there. The black one came right away up to me and nudged my shoulder. Then the white one pushed the black one’s head away, turned back to me, and nodded. I think they were used to someone coming along with apples or carrots, but it was funny, and so nice to have those two gorgeous animals communicate with me like that.
On my way back home after work the paddock was empty. That night I started writing, Night of the Horse.

A lonely young woman signs up for dance lessons. Two gorgeous guys find her as fascinating as she finds them. On the country road where she lives, she hears horses in the night, and opens her bedroom window to watch them gallop. They’re beautiful, a silver white horse and tall black horse...they turn to stare at her. Had they heard and understood when she sighed over them?

Today two of the main characters Jude and Rosie are visiting the blog.

Rosie, would you like to tell the readers about how you and Jude met?

Rosie: We met on the high street in the doorway of the art supply shop didn’t we Jude?

Jude: We did meet then. I liked her as soon as I saw her. That was before we actually met. I’d seen her around shall we say. I don’t want to give spoilers.

Rosie: That’s true because although I didn’t know it I’d watched him from a distance.

Jude: You did more than watch you sighed over me. You sighed over Justin too. That’s another story, but just so you know my best friend loves Rosie too. It’s all cool.
He leans across and kisses Rosie, then keeps hold of her hand.

Rosie, Can you describe when you first knew you were in love with Jude?

Rosie: That would be the first time we made love, it was sex that turned into making love. For me anyway. Although I liked him the moment I saw him, in the shop doorway. I wanted those arms around me right away.

Jude: I loved her from day one. I saw her in the country road where she lived and she passed the shop on the high street when Justin and I were moving the stuff in after we bought it. She hurried by and I watched her go. I said to Justin, ‘look at that lovely girl. The way she moves, her pretty hair, something about her makes me tingle.’

Rosie: You never told me that before. Justin said you were the one who said if it’s meant to be I’d find you both. That’s lovely Jude.
She leans across and kisses him this time .I better ask another question since now they are starting to get a little heated.

What’s one thing you might have changed about your story?

Rosie: Not a thing, since it’s the real thing. Although I’ve never been happy with my name, and that I’m not very tall, both Jude and Justin can tuck me under their arm.

Jude: That’s so sexy, Rosie, that I can pick you up and cuddle you into my body. You’re beautiful the way you are. As for me changing the story. More sex. Although there’s loads, I’m addicted to Rosie and I find it hard to keep my hands off her. I’m happy with the ending that’s the best ending ever.

Jude, tell us something about Rosie, how would you describe her in a few words?

Jude: She’s very pretty, slender, intelligent. I think she’s kind and generous, and she treats people really well. She’s brave too. She likes the countryside and animals. Starts to laugh and hugs Rosie.

Rosie, describe Jude in a few words.

Rosie: Very sexy, giving, clever, thoughtful, a great lover, knows what he wants or needs to do and goes for it. Very creative and talented artistically.

So what’s hot about the story?

Jude: Two gorgeous guys and one girl. The steam rises from the love scenes.  Two men who are so different, one whose gentle, sensual lovemaking wraps you in a haze of lust. The other whose hot, raw sexual need, wets you through and takes you on a wild ride to bliss. Who doesn’t dream of having both?
Now Rosie is stroking Jude’s arm, okay time for an excerpt.

How about you both choose your favorite scene from the book.

Rosie: It has to be a love scene for me, what about you Jude?

Jude: I think so, the hotter the better. (Grins)

                                     Chosen snippet, 18+

Jude made the slightest sound. “You’re not wearing panties.” He licked her thighs and stroked between them with his fingers, teasing her wet pussy until Rosie melted. She throbbed with need. Jude stood and held her to his body as he fingered her. Rosie leaned into him and turned her face up to be kissed as he pushed his fingers into her pussy, in and out, until she clung to him her mouth against his jaw.
She tried to unzip his jeans and fumbled about until he stopped kissing her and smiled.
“I’ll help.” He moved his fingers from her pussy and undid his jeans.
Rosie took hold of them and pulled them down his thighs until his cock sprang free. It looked so big, hard and thick, a rush of sexual longing made her breasts feel heavy. Cream ran from her pussy onto the inner tops of her thighs.
A murmur escaped her. “Oh, you’re only wearing jeans. It’s so sexy.” She pulled his jeans to his ankles. “You have no shoes on, Jude.”
His answer was just a sound as he stepped out of his jeans, pushing them off with his feet. Rosie knelt holding his cock low on the shaft. She took half into her mouth, and then ran her tongue around the head, before she sucked as much as she could into her mouth. Jude moaned and moved his hips. Rosie put her other hand between his legs and stroked his balls.
“Rosie. Rosie,” he whispered, breathing fast.
She let go of his cock and stood. Jude lifted her and carried her from the open field to the edge of the woods. The silver-white horse stood watching them as Jude lay Rosie on a patch of lush grass and leaned over her. “I need to fuck now before I lose it and come all over you, instead of in you.”
Rosie opened her legs and Jude lay between them. She guided him to her entrance, and then pushed her hips up to meet him as he thrust into her. It felt so good she moaned in relief at having him inside her. He thrust in and out as she wrapped her legs around his waist. His arms were next to her breasts as he supported himself, and the muscles felt hard, and sexy. She lifted her arms, holding his head to hers when he kissed her. He slowed his thrusts and moved his face back from hers to watch her face as they fucked.
“You’re beautiful, lovely.”
Rosie pulled his head back to have his kiss. He thrust his cock into her hard as his lips found hers. Rosie’s orgasm shot up through her as the very core of her body convulsed with delicious, mind numbing waves. The pleasure so great she held Jude’s head tight until she stopped coming.
