Happy Holidays Blog Hop!

Another year is on our doorstep.  Out goes 2014 and in comes the promise of something new, something better.  New Year’s Eve builds our hope that the coming year will be different.  That we’ll be different.  Some will vow to finally lose weight.  Some will vow to quit smoking, work harder, be a better person or spend more time with the kids.  Resolutions are a tradition and yet breaking them is also a tradition.  Some of us even make bets on when they’ll be broken.

2014 was a great year for me on many levels, personal and professional.  My family and I moved into our house, I made some great new friends.  I exceeded my writing aspect and I feel I’ve become a better story teller.

I have decided against making a New Year Resolution.  Yes, I could vow to lose the extra 30 pounds I’ve been holding onto since my son was born.  But I already know I have to eat right and start exercising.  No, what inspires me now is, of course, my writing.  I have an amazing Motorcycle Club series coming out in 2015 through Totally Bound.  It’s Sons of Anarchy meets Longmire, and the first book is Along Came Merrie (available Jan. 2nd!)  I have so many ideas and plans for what I want to write and I’m only limited by how fast I can or cannot type.

Happy New Year, the birth of 2015.  I raise my glass and toast to the promise of a new beginning.  Happy writing.  Happy reading.

  3. Try to spend more time with my kids. As I watch my kids grow I have one 17 year and 5 year old twins and a 3 year old and I have realized that my oldest will be leaving me soon to start on his own and I am so going to miss him and I want him to know I will always be here for him. He has a very strong family value but you know how it is when they get on their own for the first time. I want my younger ones to know they can always come to me. dennisntabitha28@yahoo.com

  4. I always make resolutions and almost always break them but I refuse to stop trying.....my resolutions are: lose weight, lose weight and lose weight. I will try to live healthier with better eating habits and more exercise....we plan to go to Disney in the Fall and I want to be able to sit in the airplanes seat comfortably and to do this I must lose weight so I am hoping that with a goal that maybe I can accomplish my resolution!

  10. Hi Beth! Nope. I don't make resolutions anymore. I never keep them and I'd rather not stack that failure on myself. lol I figure agreeing to this and one other blog hop is resolution enough. But if I were to make one it might be to write more this next year.

  17. I am really excited to start 2015 as someone who is 50 years young. When I turned 50 in October I felt like everything that happens from here on out will be nothing but the best years yet. I don’t know why 50 makes me feel like a different person but I can’t wait to see what the New Year brings with it. My New Year's Resolution is look at everything and everyone as something wonderful even if doesn't seem so at the time. No matter what only positive outcomes for every situation!

    Happy New Year, Marnie

P.S.I would love to read your amazing Motorcycle Club series. I live in Rapid City, SD, about 20 miles from Sturgis, SD. The biggest motorcycle rally in the world. We are expecting 1 million bikers this year. More than the population of SD.
