Plus, each author on the hop will offer his/her own special prize!

I’m honored to celebrate this momentous occasion with Evernight!  Evernight is a Family, and I'm so honored and proud to be in the company the amazing Evernight authors.  Happy 5th birthday!!  I raise my glass and toast to another five, ten, fifteen (and more!) amazing years!

Here’s a look at my personal favorite Evernight release:

Micah John drifts through life relying on his ability to count cards in the seedy underbelly of Las Vegas.  One bad turn has him owing a hundred thousand to an unscrupulous loan shark, with only a week to come up with the cash.  He doesn’t have time for much of anything, except working and worrying.

He sure the hell doesn’t have time for a woman claiming to be from 1794.

Henrietta Knapp is trying to wrap her brain around the fact that she’s out of her time.  A bolt of lightning has brought her more than two hundred twenty years forward.  Why? She doesn’t know. Not until Micah John appears.

As mistrust and fear drain away, Micah John and Etta find a love that outshines the bad and the ugly.  But will they be given the chance to hold onto a happy ever after, or will the lightning strike again?

****As part of the special Birthday Celebration, one lucky winner will receive the ebook of When Lightening Strikes!  All you have to do is leave a comment with a way to contact you (I promise not to spam you, just need to know how to contact you!) One winner will be chosen at random at the end of the Blog Hop!

It’s a great time for an Evernight shopping spree because all Evernight titles are 25% off through October 9th at AllRomance eBooks!

Suffragettes: The Real Heroes for Women

Mostly on my blog I feature books.  New releases, cover reveals, interviews…I try to host everything there is about writing and make no references of a political or religious nature. But there is one thing that is dear to my heart, and that is women’s rights.

Let me clarify one thing...I'm not a feminist. Far from it. But it makes me so angry when I see men trying to take away certain aspects of women's rights, or even women letting men rule their decisions without a clear thought of what it means to them. Honestly, if a man told you that you're not smart enough to vote, or understand the issues being debated on, or you aren't capable of handling money…that your only hope in life is to marry well…or that you need to be nothing but a baby maker...would you agree with him?  No, of course not. That's stupid.

There is a movie coming out called “Suffragette”, staring Meryl Streep, Helena Bonham Carter, and Carey Mulligan.  And it’s about fucking time to remind this generation what our Foremothers did for us.  What they sacrificed and suffered to give us everything so we, their descendants, could have freedoms they only dreamed about.  I wonder how many women know what the word Suffragette means?

For those who haven't read the history of our Foremothers, the march for women's rights is a fascinating piece of history we should not forget.  It wasn't just this nation but in many of the democratic "civilized" places in the world.  It's sad that women suppression still happens in our world today.

So in the United States, women began fighting for their right to vote in the 1800s.  Susan B. Anthony was even arrested for voting in the presidential election of 1872.  Back in 1919 the word Suffragette meant a movement, a firestorm. Who else knows their history, and the fact that women didn't get the right to vote until the 19th Amendment was ratified in 1920? That's LESS than 100 years ago! The car is older than our right to vote.

Suffragettes marched, were bullied, thrown in jail, abused, and scorned by many...some by other women, mostly by men.  You see, a woman’s place was behind her husband.  She had no rights.  She was a daughter, a wife, or labeled a spinster.

But that's what Suffragettes were fighting for. A world were women were considered equal. Pictures are worth a thousand words.

(I find the second woman's sign very ironic)

Nothing burns me up more than a man's belief that he has any say so over what it means to be a woman.  The issue is as pressing today as it was almost a hundred years ago.  We've come so far but clearly, there are still mountains to climb.  I wonder if I would have had the courage to march for my rights, like the women in these photos.  I hope that I would.  We must never forget what they sacrificed for women in this country.  For us to burn our bras, to take a stand.  To be the breadwinner, or at least have the choice to be the breadwinner.  It is a privilege to vote, so take advantage of the fact that we have that liberty thanks to our Foremothers.

Joanna Blake's new release BANG!

BANGreleasebanner   Release Blitz Title: BANG Author: Joanna Blake Genre: Contemporary Romance Cover: Rebel Edit & Design https://www.facebook.com/rebeleditdesign?fref=ts Photo: Furious Fotog https://www.facebook.com/FuriousFotog?fref=ts Model: Shawn Dawson www.facebook.com/ShawnDawsonMuscle Release Date: September 21, 2015

I have sex on camera for a living. I don't need to feel anything to perform. In fact, I like it better that way. That's until I meet her. She makes me want things I shouldn't. Like her.

My name is Trent but in the business I go by Rez. I work hard, play hard and party hard. That's until a crash takes me out of rotation. I broke all of my bones -- all, that is, except the one that counts. Too bad I'm too messed up to use it.

Now I'm laid up in a hospital bed, unable to do more than scratch my ass. That wouldn't be so bad, but the nurse in charge of my recovery is hell on wheels. Bossy, prudish and rough with her sponge baths. Not to mention drop dead gorgeous. Worse yet, she seems totally immune to my charms.

I love getting a rise out of her. And for some reason, she always gets a rise out of me.

She thinks she is better than a manwhore like me. She might be right. But I'm not giving up until I take the prissy know it all on the ride of her life- on me. I can't wait to see the look on her face when

I've blown her mind six or seven times in one night.

Trouble is, I've gotten in deeper than I meant to. And I don't know if I ever want out.

BANG is a standalone novel with no cheating and a guaranteed HEA!

Indifferent. She was beautiful of course, but more fragile somehow. She looked like she’d been crying. And she wouldn’t make eye contact with me. For a moment I felt defeat. She wasn’t going to come around. Fuck that. She owed me dinner. And dessert. And I meant to have it. “I’m getting out soon.” She nodded. “That’s good.” “You owe me dinner.” She sighed, standing perfectly still for a moment. Then she went back to what she was doing. “No I don’t.” “Are you welching?” She looked at me finally. Her eyes were worse than I’d thought. She looked betrayed. She looked humiliated. My heart leapt in my chest. I’d never meant to hurt the girl. I just wanted to make her feel good. I wanted to make us both feel good. And I knew it would be different with this girl. Off the charts. Special. “Lexi…” “I’m sure you had a good laugh at my expense. But that’s done now. Please, Mr. Davis, allow me to do my job.” Mr. Davis. Ouch. That hurt. I grabbed her hand. I could feel the electricity jump between us. She looked at me, her eyes cold and shuttered. “Lexi… I wasn’t laughing. I like you.” She pulled her hand loose. “I’m sorry Mr. Davis, I’m not interested.” “Like hell you aren’t!” She started to leave and I was up in an instant. I locked the door, pressing her against it. I used my other hand to close the blinds. Her eyes were wide with surprise. And something else. Arousal. My mouth crashed down on hers. She didn’t move. Not to get away. Not to kiss me back. And then she melted. I knew in that moment I had her. She was mine. “I want you Lexi…” “Not here.” “Hell yes here.” She moaned as my fingers slid over her uniform. I wasted no time going for her most sensitive spots. I was already learning her. Knowing her. Her neck. The sides of her breasts. The high arch of her hip. And lower. I ground my cock into her as my tongue dove in and out of her mouth. My hips were circling, faster and faster. I knew that if I didn’t stop, I was going to cum. But not before I made her cum. “Lay on the bed.” “Trent…” I stared at her. “I- oh…” She moaned as my fingers found her cleft. I kept talking as I toyed with her, carefully using all my skills to keep her aroused. To keep her from over thinking this. “We can do this standing up. Or we can do this laying down. It’s up to you pet.” “Sta-standing up.” I grinned at her. “Be careful what you wish for Lexi.”       BANG-1       authorbio   Joanna Blake loves good old fashioned romance, men who open doors and work with their hands.
