Where the Hell Am I?...Kaiser Springs AZ

Sometimes you just want to take it easy, and that’s exactly what this hike was.  An easy, fun day trip into Arizona.  Mike’s brother, Matt, joined us, so I didn’t video tape anything just in case he didn’t want to be on camera.

Our first sight of Kaiser Springs had been last year, when Mike and I took an amazing trip to his old military stomping grands at Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista.  He kept a mental memory of the placard he saw on the side of the freeway, offering a nice little reprieve from more of the daunting hikes we’ve scaled.  The drive was about three hours, located outside this little town called Wikieup, and which calling it a “town” is a stretch. We ate lunch in this diner that was owned by one of those conspiracy theory nuts who was proud to boast of his shooting skills, so make sure you don’t try to steal anything.  Surprisingly, however, the food wasn’t half bad, and we left to hike on a full stomach.

It was a bright, sunny day, so the sun beating down made the air warm. To get down to the path, the first hurdle is climbing down a rock face to reach the canyon path below.  It was fairly easy, but you must pay attention where you put your feet.  Once down, you are in a wash, so if you go on a rainy day please note these canyons can be hazardous from flash floods.  On sunny days, however, the heat is trapped between the walls so make sure to bring extra water.

The path is easy to hike, and prevents some amazing views. About forty-five minutes later, you reach the hot springs. The water trickles out of the rock to soak the ground, meandering through grass and mud to eventually meet up with a small river.  The water here is ice cold. I took off my boots and socks and put my feet in, only to pull them out seconds later.  It’s the bone freezing cold that actually hurts. Mike and Matt went off boulder hopping but I stayed behind on a rock and took a ten minute nap.  With the sun above, the sound of rushing water, and weariness from the hike settling in, I relaxed almost immediately.

Once the boys came back, we decided to head home.  All along the path were droppings I thought
belonged to wild horses or perhaps burrows (like we have in NV), but as we rounded a bend, we saw a wild cow (more accurately a bull with no horns). Now, I have no idea if cows/bulls can be wild but as far as I knew, there weren’t any ranches around. We were on Federal land. So, either the bull was wild or managed to escape from his home.  In any case, we stood calmly as he passed by us, giving us the stink-eye.

If you’re looking for fun and easy, this is definitely the hike to take.  Make sure to check out my video on the trip!

So Why Write Erotica?

I’ve had it all.  The raised eyebrows, the nose in the air, the disdain very present in the eyes.  Even the rolled eyes. Everything that screams disapproval.  All because I say I write erotica romance.  People can’t seem to get past the ‘erotica’ part of that statement and focus on the part that I’m published.  I write stories that are turned into professionally edited manuscripts with wonderful cover art, ISBN’d, copywritten, and marketed.  I work very hard to create characters that are real, flawed, and redeemed through love, all in the space of at minimum twenty thousand words.  My largest body of work so far has been about 157,000 words, which is 642 pages and represents two years of my time.
And that book will probably never see the light of day.

Now, for anyone who has sat down to write down a story, carried it through days, weeks or even   Writing is a very solitary life because when submerged in my worlds I live in my imagination.  I hear the voices of my characters.  I dream the scenarios of their lives.
years to fulfillment, submitted to many (dozens) of publishing houses, received many (dozens) of rejections, revised under advice, changed or deleted characters or dialogue you love, resubmitted, to finally get one person who will give your work a chance…then lets talk.

And I do all of this working full time in retail, being a full time mother to a wonderful little boy, and maintain relationships with friends. I usually hike on weekends with my boyfriend and try to get in some exercise. Sometimes I sacrifice sleep, personal time and normal stuff that most people do in order to meet a deadline.

But I can’t NOT write.  I might explode if I’m not at my laptop trying to find a synonym for the words ‘gazed into his eyes’.  And why erotica romance?  Because I’m good at writing it.  The sex is graphic because the love is intense.  My stories are not about people who court each other, go to church on Sunday, and sleep in separate beds.  My stories are about people with problems…about an ex-soldier fighting PTSD, a woman who was raped at fifteen, a deaf woman trying to be normal, a woman dealing with the consequences of choices she made to deal with health problems.  These characters are raw.  Their emotions are encased in ice.  These people are helpless, hopeless…until love finds them.  So sex between these people and their partners isn’t going to have euphemisms like ‘manhood’ and ‘joined together in bliss’.

What I write isn’t for everyone.  I know that.  Everyone has different tastes and opinions.  There are people out there who think the word ‘cock’ is vulgar.  Really, I get it.  But I am a writer.  I am a published author.  And I don’t deserve the eye roll.  None of us who write erotica romance do.  To my fellow sister and brother writers, I say give me more.  Give me more sex.  Give me more erotica.  Give me more happy-ever-afters.

Give me more.

Where the Hell Am I? ...Goldstrike Hot Springs Trail

When you think of Nevada, gold and silver comes to mind. In gambling, in mining, and in being a beautiful state. I suppose some people wouldn’t like the barren landscape, especially if you’re used to seeing grass and trees and having humidity, but I find the starkness of the Nevada skyline breathtaking.

So having a hiking trail by the name of Goldstrike popped up on our radar, Mike and I were like “Heck, yeah!” (Although we used more colorful metaphors).

Goldstrike Hot Springs Trail starts off easy. A nice path of packed sand and gravel, through a winding
weave in a wide canyon. We did have a moment of utter disbelief as we came across the wreckage of two cars and a SUV (or truck), flipped upside down and flattened.  The horror dawning as we realize that the only way they could be there was as if someone drove them off the nearby freeway. I’ve never seen anything like this and it made me very sad.

Once past that sight (knowing we’d have to walk past them once more to reach our truck), we reached the part where the easy path turns hard.  A landslide of boulders (nicknamed the Boulders of Death) blocks the path and must be traversed with care.  It’s very easy to twist an ankle or even break a leg.  It’s here that you’ll find the first rope to help you scale down this massive roadblock.
After that you’ll face the Wall of Doom, which has no rope so brace yourself and expect a long jump to the bottom.  About a quarter of the way in, we come across a bookshelf of water and food (remember this reference).  Now, anyone who knows me knows I have a massive fear of heights. The paralyzing and debilitating kinds, so I knew I would be pushing my fear boundary with this hike. The first major rope scale came not too long after this, a drop of about six feet.  Not bad, not great. But some nice person at some point, put notches in the stone to help those of us slightly handicapped to get down this obstacle.

Feeling proud of myself, I follow Mike to the hot springs, and this beautiful natural springs coming from the ground and rests at a nice hundred degree Fahrenheit. As we move further down the path, the hard trail suddenly turns very difficult as we reach a plateau that overlooks a huge stepping stone of boulders that go down, down, down to reach the lake at the end of the trail. And this is where we run into a lot of people because these next couple of ropes are hard to get up and down.  Mike spent a good ten minutes just helping other women and girls come up.  It was at this point I decided to call it quits because we were waiting for a good half hour just to go down the fifth rope. We did manage it, but it was on a wet, slippery boulder that gave no quarter.

Remember, on this hike, what goes down must come up.

So up we went, heading back to end the hike that has thus far pushed me physically and mentally as I had to overcome several moments of heart palpitating fear.  Mike has always been my rock (no pun intended!) and has helped me breathe through these moments by letting me know he’s there if I need him.  Being afraid of heights can be embarrassing and exhausting. I’m lucky to have such a wonderful partner in life.

On our way back to the parking lot, we pass by the bookcase of water and realize that we’ve gone
through our entire stash of H2O. Now we understand why the hikers before us erected this precious stand. The final push to our truck did us in. We kept stopping to catch our breath, while being passed by young Millennials and the Generation Z pack, not feeling old at all! I think it took us twice as long to get back because my legs were shaky and my arms felt like noodles after traversing the ropes upward (thank goodness no pics were taken of Mike pushing my ass up those f**king boulders!

Would I go back?...absolutely! This has become of my favorite hikes. Unfortunately, the trail is only open through the winter months so I probably won’t be back until fall. I may not have made that last rope but it’ll give me something to strive for next time.

Where the Hell Am I? ...Lava Tubes in National Mojave Preserve California

It started out with, "Where would you like to go Saturday?"

Most of the time I ask the question and let Mike take the lead, doing the research on where we should go adventuring next. He loves the hunt for the next interesting hike, whether it be a hard one or something easy to traverse.

He also uses the app All Trails.

Today we headed to California, down Interstate 15, stopping in Baker to grab some lunch, use the bathroom, and buy a lottery ticket.  Of course we have to buy a ticket -we don't have the Powerball in Nevada.  Once I won $391.

Baker, CA is famous (or infamous) for having the tallest thermometer in the world and for the Mad Greek Café, which was feature in the movie "Play it to the Bone". It's also home to Alien Jerky, which looks cool but it's just regular beef jerky.

Anyway...after our pit stop we head east on Kel Baker Rd, a nice paved road that we eventually have to leave and turn onto a dirt road.  Those of you that have cars can certainly take it on this road, but you might come to regret it since lava rocks gradually encroach onto the road.

If you've never seen lava rock, it's pumice...basically black, porous rock that is lightweight but is usually a bitch to walk upon since it likes to roll.  I'll warn everyone to be mindful of your footfalls so you don't twist your ankles.

Follow the road all the way down and you'll see a small sign pointing toward the lava tube. A small parking lot is at the end.  It's only about a hundred feet to the fork where you should take a right, and be careful of the holes.  These holes will be where you'll be walking underground.

After taking a quick detour to the base of the nearby extinct volcano that Mike has affectionately dubbed "Beth's Boob", we decide that hiking it will have to wait another day.  When we leave the dirt road, instead of going immediately back to Interstate 15, we head south east to a town called Cima, where all that's there is a mysterious train depot where many cars were parked.  Where does the train go? And where did all these people come from?

Along our way back to Las Vegas, we stop by The Mojave Cross, a memorial erected to honor those
who gave their lives in war.

So ended our short, but fun adventure through part of the Mojave Desert.

Katerina Ross Visits with her New Paranormal Release!

Hello Katerina!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly with me today!  It’s such a pleasure to chat with you.  So tell me…

Q) Do you plan all your characters out before you start a story or do they develop as you write?

It looks like the characters of my new story Black Cat Security had it planned all by themselves. It’s a M/F spin-off from my M/M series The Sons of Gomorrah, though it can be read as a stand-alone, and its two MCs, Ida and Dragomir, were supposed to be minor characters in The House of Fear, nothing more. But Dragomir fiercely demanded he should have a story of his own, and Ida, being a dominatrix witch, seems to have charmed me into complying :)

Q) What gave you inspiration for your book?

Ida has a penchant for vintage-style things, so I was very much inspired by vintage pulp fiction covers featuring femmes fatale.

Q) Can you give us a fun or interesting fact about your book?

While I was writing Black Cat Security, I tried out a vintage perfume, something Ida would choose—a heavy, heady scent. I liked it a lot, but now that the story is finished, I can’t fathom why when I smell it—it’s vicious! Fortunately, it was just a small sample :)

Q) What are your upcoming projects?

I’m in the process of polishing the third part of The Sons of Gomorrah, and I also have a M/M/F story in mind. It will be set in my home country, Russia, just like my first M/M novel Tenderly Wicked.

Blurb

Dragomir, a magician with PTSD and a very inconvenient curse upon him, struggles to make a living, taking part in illegal boxing matches. Fighting is the only thing he’s good at now. But how long can he keep it up? The fights are dangerous, and he’s untrained.

A pretty witch he meets one night says she might change his life for the better. Is she really willing to help, or does she have her own wicked plans about him? And can she succeed where all the magicians of Scholomance have failed?

Warnings (or an incentive to read): BDSM, FemDom, bondage,

whipping, spanking, pegging… and some magic, too :)

EXCERPT

When he came to, the first thing he understood: he couldn’t see. A moment of panic—and then another realization: there was a blindfold of some kind over his eyes. He was standing with his arms up above him … and wait, were his hands bound? What the hell? He tried to reach up, rotating his wrists, and clutched at the chains he was hanging from. Yes, fucking chains. And leather handcuffs, buckled very tight. And he couldn’t feel any clothes upon himself, just something around his neck in addition to his dog tag.

Then he remembered. Ida. Her apartment. Talking about his curse. She said they had to negotiate…

And after that—nothing.

He jerked at the chains, hard. And again, and a few times more. They didn’t give. There was some slack, so at least his arms weren’t pulled up too tautly, but he couldn’t break free.

“You must be wondering what happened to you,” Ida said somewhere to his left.

“You agreed to an experiment, remember? And here you are. A fine specimen for a very interesting test.”

Her hand touched his chest lightly, out of nowhere, and he jolted at the contact as if she prodded him with a stun baton.

She chuckled quietly. “So skittish. But it’s understandable. Everyone would be jumpy in your place.” Her hand wandered across his pecs, brushed his nipple, and disappeared. “I’ll let you adjust. Try tugging at the chains again if you want to check whether they will break or not. I allow you. But here’s a spoiler: they won’t. It’s not some rusty old shackles. They are good and new, very sturdy, and secured to an eyehook in the ceiling. There had been a large chandelier hanging from it once, so it’s quite reliable. I redecorated the room long ago, but I always thought the hook would come in handy one day. It’s a mild nuisance the handcuffs have to be hanging so high—I’m not that tall. But a bit of hypnosis, and you helped me to restrain you most eagerly.”

What the hell was going on?

As if through a fog, Dragomir remembered saying yes to some kind of experiment and even filling and signing a yes/no negotiation form, but it was a vague memory, distant and dream-like. Everything else—a boxing match, a fight before that—seemed even more surreal.

Ida’s hand slipped along his flank, ticklishly, up to his neck, and tugged at what he realized was a collar.

“And this is to ensure you wouldn’t break free using magic. Quite a special thing. Leather, silver, and a security spell. Meant especially for wayward mages, something of the kind they use in prisons when incarcerating a person with enhanced abilities.” She slipped a finger under the band around his throat, making it too tight, almost choking him. “So you will behave, no matter whether you want it or not. A bad boy will be a good boy for a change.”

“What are you doing?” he rasped out.

“Just making you harmless. Wasn’t it what you wanted, to cause no harm to me?”

Was she mocking him?

He stood there, wearing nothing but a collar, a dog tag, and a blindfold. It was ridiculous. Laughable. Humiliating.

And scary.

Rationally, he knew he probably had nothing to worry about. Or did he? But anyway, all rational thoughts gave way to a primitive bodily reaction—discomfort at being tied up, helpless. It felt like he was itching all over under his skin with uneasiness bordering on unwanted panic, too exposed, deprived of sight. He tried to wriggle his wrists out of the handcuffs instead of jerking at the chains, but to no avail.

“Nope, the handcuffs will hold, too,” Ida warned him. “I checked, and not just once. As I might have said, I do a bit of coaching now and then, but of an unusual kind. I call it expanding boundaries. Experiencing new sensations. It doesn’t normally include sex, but for you, I might make an exception.”

A peck of a kiss between his shoulder blades. Hands running up and down his sides, in a comforting manner, but at the same time, it was unnerving. He tried to twist away from her touch, stubbornly, but she squeezed his hips, adding a hint of nails.

“Sshh, don’t twitch, hold still,” she said, “or I’ll pull up the chains. They say it’s extremely painful to hang from your wrists. Excruciating.”

“Oh yeah?” he managed. “Someone else complained?”

“And very loudly. Good thing this room is soundproof. As I said, it had been redecorated.”

Her arms went ‘round him. She was still clothed, but he could feel her little perky breasts pressing against his back. His cock, already half-hard, immediately went into a very interested mode. It didn’t seem to mind the strangeness of the situation.

Q&A with Elena Kincaid on her NEW SERIES!

Hi, thanks so much for having me over again to talk about In Fair Brighton. J

Hello Elena!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly with me today!  It’s such a pleasure to chat with you.  So tell me…

Q) How did you dream up the dynamics of your characters?

A) Think Romeo and Juliet. That feeling you get when you meet someone and know somewhere deep inside you that that person will be important to you, but they have many trials to go through before they can be together, like the fact that they are the children of rival mob families. Unlike Romeo and Juliet, my couple will have an HEA.

Q) Is this book part of a series?  If so, can you tell us about it?

A) Yes, this is the first book in the Star-Crossed Mafia series. Writing this book definitely sparked ideas for future books, and the second one in the series is already outlined waiting to be written and features Nikita, Rome’s cousin, and Rose, Sasha’s cousin. There will be plenty of bumps in the road of them. ;)

Q) Can you give a fun or interesting fact about your book?

A) I got to infuse a little bit of my Russian culture into the story, not the mafia part, lol, but family dynamic, the way they speak, customs.

Q) What gave you the inspiration for your book?

A)Romeo and Juliet. I’ve always loved the book as well as some of the movie adaptations of it. I wanted to put a modern day spin on the story when these characters popped into my head after an anthology call from my publisher, Evernight, was put out. I had originally began writing the story in hopes of submitting it for the anthology, however, as the story progressed, I knew I’d be going over the word count and then other characters began speaking and demanding their own books, and the series was born.

BLURB:

Sasha Palmer, a travel writer, never stays in one place long enough to find even the possibility of love. The baggage of her family keeps her closed off from everyone, but one day, love finds her in the form of strong arms, wrapping around her, and pulling her to safety from oncoming traffic. One look at Rome, and she’s a goner.

Roman “Rome” Valentin is a killer … and a good one at that. He leads a life he detests, full of self-loathing until the day he meets Sasha. She barrels into his life and steals the heart he didn’t know he still had … and then she vanishes.

Their two families have been at war for decades. Will a chance meeting and a passionate growing love end the bitter feud or spark a battle that may destroy them all?

Excerpt:

Sasha found herself pressed against the façade of a bright yellow apartment building. The street they had been walking down was nearly deserted, when the two of them suddenly exchanged heated glances. He pushed her up against the building and kissed her fiercely, one of his hands cradling the back of her head, while the other was right below her ass as she hitched her leg around him. She threaded her hand into his hair and fisted the front of his shirt again with her other hand, moaning into his mouth as the kiss consumed them both, letting out two days’ worth of fire and heat. She felt his hard length pressing into her, wanting to take him inside her body and lose herself in him.
He slowed their kiss down. “Do you want me to take you back to your hotel now?” he whispered against her lips.
“No,” she whispered back. She nipped his bottom lip, driving him to kiss her fervently again.
He pulled back to look at her, his face riddled with desire. “I ache so badly for you, Sasha.”
“Then have me,” she said. “I want you, too, Rome.”
His hotel was closer to their location, only two blocks away. They walked briskly without a word until they were inside his room.
“God, what you do to me,” he said, his voice gravelly, right before he cupped her face and delivered another impassioned kiss.
He removed his hands from her face, and lowered them to cup her ass, pulling her closer to him. Sasha moaned into his mouth as he hoisted her up to straddle his waist. He then carried her to the side of the bed in the center of the room and laid her down on her back so that her bottom was at the edge and her legs dangled off the side.
He gave her a hungry look, pushed her legs up closer to her before spreading them wide. “Leave them like that,” he ordered.
She made a low “uh” sound in response, never having been so turned on in her entire life. He pushed her sundress up to the middle of her stomach and licked his lips as he stared at her panty-clad swollen flesh. She let out a moan in response.
Using only one finger, he slowly traced the center of her cleft. His breathing was harsh. “I can feel how wet you are for me even through here.” And just as achingly slow, he hooked a finger on each side of her underwear by her hip and pulled them off her, and then spread her legs back open to their previous position.
She felt so vulnerable, yet so turned on with the way he was hungrily staring at her most intimate part. He dipped his head, and immediately followed the path his finger had done, only this time with his tongue. Sasha moaned loudly at the contact.
“Even your pussy tastes sweet,” he said against her flesh.
Rome tortured her at first, licking all around her outer and inner lips, avoiding that tight little bundle of nerves she wanted to beg him to taste until finally, she did beg. “Please, Rome, please.”
His soft chuckle against her only made her feel needier until he took pity on her and gave her what she wanted. He sucked her clit into his mouth, making her whimper, and then he ate her as if she were his most delicious dessert, lips, tongue, teeth, driving her to the edge quickly.
She screamed, her orgasm hitting her so fiercely, it blurred her vision for a moment. His mouth did not release her until her body calmed.
“You’re so beautiful when you come,” he said, his voice gravelly.
She gave him a lazy smile when he stood up to remove his shirt. She sat up then, to undo the button on his jeans while he watched her with his eyes hooded. She bit her bottom lip as she lowered his zipper, returning the favor by tormenting him with her slowness. Then, instead of touching him where he wanted, she traced the hard lines of his six-pack abs, up to his muscular chest, and then she brought them lower again all the way down to his perfect V. Rome’s body was a work of art. Michelangelo’s David came to mind.
Deciding she couldn’t wait any longer to taste him, she freed his hard cock, thick, long, and cut. He was beautiful. He shucked his pants all the way down, and as soon as he stepped out of them and came closer to her, she sucked him into her mouth, taking him as far as she could go.
His moans of enjoyment only urged her on, knowing she was driving him as crazy as he had her. She licked up and down his shaft a few times before popping him back in, and concentrating on the head.
“Enough,” he said gruffly, popping himself out of her mouth. “I want to come inside you.”

Beyond the Veil Book 5.... NEW RELEASE!

Hello!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly with me today!  It’s such a pleasure to chat with all of you.

Thanks so much for having us over today. J

Q) How did you dream up the dynamics of your characters?

A) When Maia, Elena and I are brainstorming for the next book, we each choose a character POV that we will be writing for and then basically just chat via messenger until we have them figured out.

Q) Is this book part of a series?  If so, can you tell us about it?

A) This is book 5 in our Beyond the Veil series. This series actually started out as a fun exercise in our Street Team, we let them choose the type of shifters for the first book Chasing Faete, it was intended to just be a short story for our readers. Lol, little did we know, once we started writing there was no going back. We really just fell in love with this world and the characters and had such a blast writing together that we haven’t stopped. 😊

 Q) Do you plan all your characters out before you start a story or do they develop as you write?

A) So Maia and Sarah are total pansters, while me, I’m a planner. Somehow, for the three of us it really works and we find a nice balance and feed off each other. Our characters grow as the story develops and in response to each other, which can often be surprising.

Q) What are your upcoming projects?

A) The three of us actually have another joint project, an anthology releasing on May 22nd  called Down & Dirty and featuring 22 authors in total. Get in, get down...and get filthy with these sexy, hardworking, blue-collar heroes who don't mind when things get a little dirty while at work or at play.

Fighting Faete
Beyond the Veil, Book 5
by Sarah Marsh, Elena Kincaid and Maia Dylan

*AVAILABLE NOW*

Fighting Faete is book number 5 in our Beyond the Veil series, and these characters are three of our favorites. Kat's fierce independence combined with Alak and Aeron's protective natures adds up to an explosive romance that Maia, Elena and myself had so much fun writing. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did!

Blurb:
Darkness is coming to both sides of the Veil…
Katrina was born to fight. She earned her position as Beta through blood and battle and she’ll do anything to protect those she cares for, but being a hardened warrior comes with sacrifices. The aftermath of her kidnapping has her fighting harder than before, even with herself.

Aeron and Alak have always known their service to the Goddess Rysanna came with a heavy responsibility, one they easily accepted. Years later, with a battle for the ages looming, a beautiful golden cougar brings all of their seemingly forgotten instincts to the surface. Will their fiery mate fight their fate, or will she embrace the gift bestowed upon them?

As the trio struggle to find their path, dark emerging forces would see both the human and Fae realms fall into despair. Finding love can sometimes be the simple part … but for some, accepting it isn’t always easy.

Be Warned: menage sex (MFM), anal sex, double penetration

Excerpt:

With one pass of Aeron’s magic over her clothing, the seams melted away, and he gently dropped the scraps to the ground, leaving Alak’s arms full of warm, golden, naked skin. Alak placed a kiss along her shoulder, up to her neck, while Aeron did the same on the other side. Their mate’s arousal was all that was important right now, and Alak could think of nothing else but ensuring her pleasure.

“Just so you both know … our argument isn’t over,” she said, her words coming out in short pants in between kisses Aeron and Alak were delivering.

“I’d expect nothing less from our delectable dragon,” Alak teased back.

“Are you mocking me?”

Alak saw the tiny smirk at the corner of her mouth, and he pulled her chin towards his own lips before looking straight into her golden eyes. “Never,” he said, and then he kissed her with everything he had building up inside of him. His passion, his frustration, his longing, and finally, with all the loneliness he and his brother had endured over their long lifetime. To be High Dorum was the greatest honor the Goddess could bestow upon her children, but it set them apart from the rest of their people. They’d almost lost hope for a mate of their own, for how would one female hold the strength to equal theirs? But the Goddess sees all her children, and she must have known that this remarkable woman was just out there, waiting for Aeron and Alak to follow the path that led to her. Now it was up to them not to screw it up.

“Do you want us, Katrina?” Alak finally pulled back from her lips and whispered his question, as if afraid in this moment that she would deny them all what they so desperately needed.

“I do,” she replied without a single hint of hesitation in her voice.

Alak carried her to the master bedroom in their suite with Aeron following closely behind. When they reached the king-sized bed, Katrina lowered herself down the length of him and then positioned herself on her back in the center of the bed. A golden goddess, holding him in place as he gazed upon her in fascination. She stretched out her arms and beckoned them to join her. Finally, he snapped out of his daze, and he and Aeron continued undressing. He loved the little hitch in her breath as they revealed themselves to her, her gaze roaming over their bodies, seemingly greedy to take them in. Alak ached for her. He grabbed his length and slowly stroked, and the sight of her little pink tongue darting out to wet her perfect lips made him groan out her name.

“Katrina, are you wet for us, mate?”

“Yes, do you want to see?” she purred, legs falling gracefully to each side.

“You make my mouth water seeing you ready for us,” Aeron said, his voice strained with desire. “I’ve thought of this moment many times since we met.”

Alak knew all too well what his brother was feeling in this moment—the same kernel of hope was beginning to burn bright in his own heart, that this glorious woman would make their lives complete. He followed Aeron onto the bed and stretched out beside Katrina while Aeron knelt by her feet, his hand slowly stroking along her calf.

“I think it’s time we quenched our thirst, brother,” Aeron said.

About Sarah Marsh:

Sarah Marsh was born in British Columbia where she still lives. She has only recently began her writing career, finding it the perfect outlet for taking the edge off a nine to five office job. She’s been a science fiction and romance junkie for years and when her imagination started to take the characters she’d read about even further in their adventures, she decided to try writing something of her own.

Sarah’s also a former pastry chef and spends a lot of time cooking and baking for friends and family as well as painting and knitting. Her biggest weaknesses are animals of any kind … she even loves the ones that wake you up at four in the morning because they can almost see the bottom of their food dish.

When it comes to life in general, she’s a big believer that laughter is the best medicine and that there’s no such thing as too much love, which is why she’s such a sucker for a happy ending.
